PRN Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
About the role
As an Enhance Rehabilitation occupational therapist assistant, you will work under the guidance of an occupational therapist within a dynamic team. Your primary responsibility will be to assist in treating patients by implementing an individualized plan of care developed by Occupational Therapists. You will ensure that every patient receives quality treatment leading to excellent functional outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement occupational therapy treatment programs based on each patient's particular needs.
- Aid patients through all phases of Occupational Therapy treatment and techniques.
- Communicate with patients about their treatment plans and document their conditions and responses to treatments in charts after each session.
- Maintain open communication with Occupational Therapists, Directors of Rehab, and facility staff.
- Operate and apply knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong educational background in occupational therapy assisting, and possess a current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in your state. Experience in a healthcare setting is preferred but not required.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in occupational therapy assisting or related field.
- Current license to practice as an occupational therapy assistant in your state.
