PRN Certified Occupational Therapist Assistant (COTA)
About the role
As an Enhance Rehabilitation occupational therapist assistant, you will work under the guidance of an occupational therapist to assist in treating patients. Your responsibilities include implementing individualized treatment plans developed by Occupational Therapists, assisting patients through all phases of therapy, communicating with patients about their treatment, and maintaining accurate records.
Responsibilities
- Assist in developing and implementing occupational therapy treatment programs based on each patient’s needs.
- Aid patients during all phases of occupational therapy treatment and techniques.
- Discuss treatment plans with patients and document patient conditions and responses in charts after each session.
- Communicate continuously with Occupational Therapists, Directors of Rehab, and facility staff.
- Operate and apply knowledge of standard occupational therapy equipment.
Requirements
To succeed in this role, you should have a strong educational background in occupational therapy or a related field, along with relevant certifications such as Certified Occupational Therapy Assistant (COTA).
Qualifications
Preferred qualifications include experience in a healthcare setting, familiarity with standard occupational therapy equipment, and a commitment to providing high-quality patient care.
Skills
Strong interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently are essential. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and a basic understanding of medical terminology are also beneficial.
