The team partners with private equity investors throughout the deal transaction lifecycle—from opportunity identification through due diligence and post-transaction value realization. Responsibilities

As an Engagement Manager, you will lead and execute due diligence and post-transaction engagements for private equity funds and their portfolio companies. Your role will involve:

  • Leading day-to-day project execution, ensuring findings are insightful and data-driven.
  • Providing thought leadership at a strategic level while managing technical and operational details.
  • Forging strong client relationships through exceptional communication and collaboration.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have most of the following qualifications:

  • Professional experience with commercial and operational due diligence in a management consulting firm.
  • Experience working across or within industries relevant to Private Equity.
  • Knowledge and hands-on experience with customer research techniques (interviews, surveys, focus groups, etc.).
  • A strong background in strategic problem-solving and demonstrable analytical skills.
  • Outstanding written and verbal communication skills in formal and informal settings.
  • Fluency in English.
  • An undergraduate or advanced degree from a strong academic program.
  • Initiative to seek out learning opportunities and apply existing skills effectively.
  • Creativity and the ability to develop novel solutions for complex client challenges.
  • An aptitude for analytical work, including interpreting large data sets and identifying key issues.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to work respectfully with a talented team.

Pay

The base salary range for this role is $225,000 – $240,000. The final offer will be determined based on experience, skills, training, location, certifications, education, and applicable minimum wage requirements. Decisions are made on a case-by-case basis. The position may also be eligible for performance-based incentives.

Schedule

Oliver Wyman supports a hybrid work model, combining remote work with in-office collaboration. Colleagues are expected to work in their local office or onsite with clients at least three days per week. Teams will designate at least one “anchor day” per week for in-person collaboration.
