About the role
A leading law firm seeks a mid-to-senior level associate with at least five years of experience in privacy and cybersecurity matters.
Responsibilities
- Advising on data breaches and incident response
- Privacy compliance programmes
- Cybersecurity risk management
- Technology transactions
- Negotiating technology and outsourcing agreements
- Advising on data governance strategies
- Supporting M&A transactions
- Drafting privacy and security policies
- Counselling clients on privacy and cybersecurity issues across various industries, including fintech and emerging technologies
Requirements
- Familiarity with regulations and frameworks such as CCPA, HIPAA, GLBA, PCI-DSS, and GDPR
- Strong academic credentials
- Excellent drafting and negotiation skills
- The ability to manage complex client matters independently
