Printing Assistant -2nd Shift
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
- Ensure correct stock and inks.
- Make quality related decisions utilizing product specification testing.
- Mix ink and take the viscosities to maintain required colors.
- Prepare the press for the succeeding press run by performing line clearance procedures.
- Perform and document all the necessary testing of both raw materials and finished products using established company test methods.
- Perform entries into the computer system for raw materials.
- Perform all necessary preventative maintenance as required.
- Provide necessary communication at shift change.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous Flexo printing experience preferred.
- Web handling fundamentals.
- Must be able to read standard ruler measurements.
- Begginer level computer skills.
- English language verbal and written communication skills.
- High school math skills.
- Demonstrate the ability to follow written and verbal instructions.
- Demonstrate basic mechanical aptitude and problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to multi-task and work efficiently with team members.
- Proficient at color matching.
Physical Requirements
- Frequent standing, walking, and use of hands to operate tools and equipment.
- Ability to lift and move objects over 50 pounds.
- Vision requirements include close vision, color recognition, and focus adjustment.
- Must be able to pass a color proficiency test and color blindness test.
