About the role

The Principal is responsible for supporting growth across three strategic pillars: Corporate Banking for Fintech Companies – providing comprehensive banking, treasury, lending, and capital markets solutions to venture-backed and growth-stage fintech companies; Embedded Banking & Fintech Infrastructure – delivering banking and funds-flow capabilities that enable fintech clients' products, with a particular emphasis on expanding the adoption and strategic value of the Newline platform; and Asset-Backed Finance & Structured Capital Solutions – originating and executing warehouse facilities, forward-flow agreements, securitizations, ABS transactions, and other structured financing solutions for fintech lenders and specialty finance companies.

Responsibilities

  • Build and interpret complex financial models; independently complete credit and financial statement analysis.
  • Create high-impact, client-ready presentation materials.
  • Apply strong understanding of venture capital structures and market trends to identify client needs and relevant solutions.
  • Support and help originate venture debt, growth capital, MRR/ARR, treasury, FX, warrant, and capital markets opportunities.
  • Coordinate with product partners to develop integrated financing solutions for complex client needs.
  • Build strong relationships with peers, product partners, and senior bankers.
  • Provide support and oversight to Capital Markets and Treasury partners on product suitability.

Requirements

  • Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred.
  • 5-7 years of experience in banking, corporate finance, or capital markets.
  • Strong credit, corporate finance, and underwriting skills.
  • SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 licenses required within Fifth Third guidelines.
  • Performance goals: New deposits/year $40MM; Fees/year (Capital Markets/Warrants, FX, Payments) $100K; NQRs/year 3.

Pay

Total base pay range: $82,100.00 – $172,500.00 USD annual. In addition, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
