About the role
The Managing Director is responsible for driving growth across three strategic pillars:
- Corporate Banking for Fintech Companies – providing comprehensive banking, treasury, lending, and capital markets solutions to venture-backed and growth-stage fintech companies.
- Embedded Banking & Fintech Infrastructure – delivering banking and funds-flow capabilities that enable fintech clients' products, with a particular emphasis on expanding the adoption and strategic value of the Newline platform.
- Asset-Backed Finance & Structured Capital Solutions – originating and executing warehouse facilities, forward-flow agreements, securitizations, ABS transactions, and other structured financing solutions for fintech lenders and specialty finance companies.
Responsibilities
- Grow and retain relationships with a targeted client group by coordinating all aspects of the relationship and delivering value-added solutions.
- Develop business-development strategy and provide leadership and direction to credit staff.
- Coordinate client-facing activities, including engagement with credit and treasury-management partners.
- Own review and underwriting of credit requests; ensure proposals are complete and sources of repayment are sound.
- Drive revenue growth through loans, deposits, fee income, and cross-sell; develop new credit and non-credit business.
- Monitor client performance and industry trends to maintain acceptable risk; attend venture and industry forums to broaden the network.
- Support Capital Markets and Treasury partners on product suitability.
Requirements
- Undergraduate degree required; graduate degree preferred.
- 8-10+ years of experience in banking, corporate finance, or capital markets; minimum 3 years at the Director level.
- Strong corporate finance and credit skills; leadership history in a growing financial services business.
- SIE, Series 79, and Series 63 required; Series 24 preferred, per Fifth Third guidelines.
- Performance Gearing 10+ years related experience: New deposits/year $150MM+ team roll-up - Fees/year $500K+ team roll-up - NQRs/year 3 plus team minimum 15, subject to adjustment over time.

Pay
Total Base Pay Range: $155,100.00 - $333,500.00 USD Annual. In addition to the base salary, this role is eligible to participate in an incentive compensation plan, with any such payment based upon company, line of business and/or individual performance.
