About the role

As Principal Financial Analyst, you will support Commercial & Industrial Business Solutions by developing business analytics capabilities and providing financial and analytical support for earnings growth, operational efficiencies, and strategic initiatives. This role involves building financial models, business cases, forecasts, and scenario analyses to evaluate new business opportunities, customer solutions, asset strategies, pricing decisions, strategic investments, and divestitures.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain dashboards, performance metrics, business intelligence, analytics, and management reporting (e.g., revenue growth, gross margin, EBITDA contribution, customer acquisition and retention, pipeline conversion, asset utilization, project financial performance, operational productivity, and capital investment returns).
- Partner with business unit leaders, Finance, Operations, and IT to deliver data-driven insights, performance reporting, and forecasts that support business growth, operational efficiency, and strategic decision-making.
- Evaluate and integrate financial, operational, customer, and market data to identify business performance trends, risks, strategic tradeoffs, and opportunities to improve business outcomes.
- Translate complex findings into clear recommendations, executive-ready presentations, and actionable plans that drive accountability and disciplined execution across the Commercial & Industrial portfolio.
- Identify, analyze, and communicate to management the impact on the Company's financial structure, profitability, financial integrity, and competitive position using relevant analytical methods and forecasting models.
- Provide financial analysis support for various projects, including calculating revenue requirements, net present value, and customer bill impact.
- Offer expertise, support, and financial training for company departments requiring these services.
- Perform financial analyses as required by management or regulatory bodies and make recommendations on financing decisions.
- Execute long and/or short-term financings and prepare PowerPoint presentations for Senior and Executive Management.
- Act as a mentor to lower-level employees.
- Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
- 6+ years of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
- Master’s degree in Accounting or Finance.
