Principal Data and Ontology Architect - AI Enablement

About the role

We are seeking an AI Data & Ontology Enablement Lead to support data standardization, ontology development, and AI initiatives within Control Tower Operations.

Responsibilities

• Supporting enterprise ontology strategy, applying semantic modeling standards, and serving as an authority on ontology topics.
• Partnering with Business Units to translate domain concepts into ontology-aligned data structures and guiding data contribution processes.
• Acting as a liaison between Business Units and Global IT to align data practices, workflows, and requirements.
• Educating and supporting data stewards on governance, ontology contribution, and AI data enablement.
• Ensuring semantic integrity, data quality, and risk management, while supporting integration into Control Tower workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
• 10+ years of experience in data architecture, governance, ontology development, or semantic modeling across multiple business units.

Skills

• Expertise in ontology design, semantic modeling, and translating technical requirements into business guidance.
• Strong communication skills to bridge business and IT stakeholders, with experience in enabling data stewards and establishing workflows.
• Knowledge of OWL, RDF/RDFS, graph databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune), and SPARQL is highly desirable.
