Data and Ontology Architect - AI Enablement

About the role

We are seeking an AI Data & Ontology Enablement Lead to support data practices and standards within Control Tower Operations, facilitating scalable, governed, and business-aligned AI initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Supporting ontology strategy, applying standards for semantic modeling, and serving as an enterprise authority on ontology topics.
• Partnering with Business Units to understand domain concepts, guiding data contribution, and enabling repeatable onboarding for AI projects.
• Acting as a liaison between Business Units and Global IT to translate practices, requirements, and workflows, ensuring alignment and preventing fragmented data requests.
• Educating data stewards on governance, workflows, and data enablement, and establishing operational models for engagement with Control Tower and IT.
• Supporting integration of data and ontology into Control Tower workflows, ensuring semantic integrity, data quality, and risk management.

Qualifications & Skills

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics, or related fields.
• 10+ years in data architecture, governance, ontology development, or semantic modeling supporting cross-functional initiatives.
• Expertise in ontology design, semantic modeling, and translating technical platforms into business guidance.
• Experience in educating data stewards, establishing governance workflows, and influencing stakeholders.
• Preferred knowledge of OWL, RDF/RDFS, graph databases (Neo4j, Amazon Neptune), and SPARQL.

Onsite at our Marysville, OH office with possible telecommuting one day per week.
