Principal Data and Ontology Architect - AI Enablement

About the role

We are seeking an AI Data & Ontology Enablement Lead to support data and ontology practices within Control Tower Operations, facilitating scalable, governed AI initiatives. This role acts as a key bridge between Business Units, Global IT, and Control Tower Operations, translating standards into guidance for data stewards and ensuring shared understanding of data workflows.

Responsibilities

• Developing and maintaining ontology strategies
• Collaborating with stakeholders to align domain concepts with enterprise data architectures
• Enabling repeatable onboarding of data assets for AI projects
• Educating data stewards
• Supporting governance processes
• Ensuring semantic integrity, data quality, and risk management

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field
• 10+ years in data architecture, governance, or ontology development
• Expertise in semantic modeling, ontology design, and enterprise data platforms
• Strong communication skills to influence stakeholders
• Systems-thinking mindset

Skills

• Knowledge of OWL, RDF/RDFS, graph databases, and SPARQL (preferred)
