About the role

The City and County of San Francisco is seeking multiple Senior Administrative Analysts to join its workforce. This role offers direct insights into how the city’s $14 billion budget supports high-quality services for residents, workers, and visitors.

Responsibilities

• Evaluating policy, financial, program, and organizational issues
• Presenting findings and recommendations to senior management
• Oversight of departmental operations, including budget development, grants management, and contract administration
• Conducting substantive, detailed, and consequential analytical work impacting the department, agency, or program in multiple areas
• Leading and performing challenging and complex projects spanning budgeting, financial analysis, economic analysis, data analysis, legislative and administrative policy, and contract administration

Requirements

• Five (5) years full-time equivalent experience performing professional-level analytical work
• Graduate degree (Master's degree or higher) from an accredited college or university with major coursework in specialized subject matter areas such as public or business administration, management, business law, contract law, public policy, urban studies, economics, statistical analysis, finance, accounting or other fields of study closely related to the essential functions of positions in the 182X Class series

Qualifications

• Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university
• Substitution: Possession of a graduate degree (Master's degree or higher) from an accredited college or university with major coursework in specialized subject matter areas may be substituted for the required one (1) year of experience
