About the role

The City and County of San Francisco seeks to hire multiple Administrative Analysts to support department-specific initiatives through quantitative and qualitative data analysis across various topics.

Responsibilities

  • Support department-specific initiatives through quantitative and qualitative data analysis in areas such as policy, budget, finance, and program evaluation.
  • Develop effective recommendations based on research and analysis of performance data.
  • Prepare and present well-organized and accurate reports to stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with managers to perform research and gather data using appropriate analytical tools and computer applications.

Requirements

  • One (1) year full-time equivalent experience performing professional-level analytical work.
  • Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Substitution: Possession of a graduate degree (Master's degree or higher) from an accredited college or university with major coursework in specialized subject matter areas may be substituted for the required one (1) year of experience.

Qualifications

  • Experience: Analysis, development, administration, and reporting in major programs and functions of an organization in areas such as budgets, contracts, grants, policy, or other functional areas related to the duties of positions in the 182X Class series.
  • Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university.
  • Substitution: Thirty (30) semester units or forty-five (45) quarter units equal one year.

SkillsKnowledge of analytical software and tools (e.g., PowerBI, Tableau).
  • Ability to interpret and apply City contracting guidance.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

    Pay

    Salary range: $60,000 - $80,000 annually.

    Schedule

    Current City policy requires on-site work with some flexibility for telecommute schedules.
