The position offers direct insights into how the city’s $14 billion budget supports essential services like homelessness, sustainability, transportation, and more.

Responsibilities

• Junior Policy Analysts: Analyze performance data, develop policy recommendations, and assist with departmental policy priorities and legislative updates.
• Junior Budget Analysts: Develop budget proposals, track revenues and expenditures, and prepare financial reports for stakeholders.
• Junior Contracts Analysts: Assist in managing contract processes, monitor compliance, and support contract administration.
• Junior Data Analysts: Conduct data analysis, create visualizations, and develop streamlined dashboards using analytical tools.
• Junior Finance Analysts: Assist with fiscal accounting, budget analysis, and reporting, and manage debt capacity.
• Junior Grants Analysts: Review and analyze budget requests, assist with grant applications, and ensure compliance with grant policies.

Requirements

Education: Possession of a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university. Substitution of up to 2 years of qualifying full-time, professional-level experience for the required education is allowed.
