About the role
Prime Air is seeking a Prime Air Area Manager, where you will serve as a front-line leader responsible for executing daily operations at a Prime Air Drone Delivery Station. You will lead and support teams across flight operations, ground handling, and fulfillment to ensure safe, efficient, and customer-focused delivery performance.
Responsibilities
- Drive key operational metrics including safety, quality, and delivery efficiency
- Monitor real-time operations to remove barriers and maintain system uptime
- Partner with Operations Managers and cross-functional teams to execute staffing and operational plans
- Ensure compliance with safety and regulatory standards
- Identify and implement process improvements
- Develop and coach associates
- Provide clear escalation and communication during active operations
- Directly manage a team of hourly associates, overseeing scheduling, performance management, and day-to-day coaching and development
- In partnership with HR, address associate relations matters including attendance, performance concerns, and corrective action as needed
- Maintain accurate timekeeping, headcount tracking, and staffing records for your team
Basic qualifications
- 1+ years of direct people management, including performance management and employee development experience
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent, or 2+ years of Amazon experience
- Experience in a fast-paced, automated, industrial, logistics, production or manufacturing environment
- Work a flexible schedule/shift/work area, including weekends, nights, and/or holidays
- Can work in an environment where the noise level varies and is subject to variable temperatures and weather conditions, including working outside in outdoor temperatures and refrigerated environments
- Can show a demonstrated record of good attendance and the ability to consistently arrive on time for scheduled shifts
- Can lift up to 49 pounds, stand/walk during shifts lasting up to 12 hours, and be able to frequently push, pull, squat, bend, and reach
- Ability to analyze performance metrics and take action to improve results
Preferred qualifications
- Prior experience in the drone/aerospace industry
- Experience working cross-functionally with technical and support teams
Pay
USA, OH, NORTH RANDALL - 73,500.00 - 128,500.00 USD annually. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
