PRIMARY CARE SPORTS MEDICINE PHYSICIAN, Student Health Services
About the role
The Primary Care Sports Medicine Physician will provide comprehensive primary care and nonoperative Sports Medicine to the Boston University general student body and athlete student population. This position exists within the department of Primary Care in Student Health Services (85%) and serves as a sports team physician within the department of Athletic Training in Student Health Services (15%). Providing care for varsity athletes, club sport athletes, and ROTC cadets and midshipmen, along with expected Athletic Training Clinic sessions and sports event coverage.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive primary care and nonoperative Sports Medicine to the Boston University general student body and athlete student population.
- Serve as a sports team physician within the department of Athletic Training in Student Health Services, providing care for varsity athletes, club sport athletes, and ROTC cadets and midshipmen.
- Expected Athletic Training Clinic sessions and sports event coverage.
Requirements
- Fellowship training in Primary Care Sports Medicine and CAQSM (or eligibility) is required.
- MD or DO from an accredited institution with completion of a primary care residency and primary care sports medicine fellowship.
- Board certified in a primary care specialty.
- CAQ in Sports Medicine.
- Licensed to practice medicine in Massachusetts by start date.
- Unrestricted Massachusetts Controlled Substance Certificate and DEA license by start date.
Qualifications
Collegiate team physician experience.
Collaborative experience in collegiate student health services.

Benefits
Salary range: Minimum $215,000.00, Maximum $225,000.00. Final salary determined based on a variety of factors including departmental budgets, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and internal pay comparison.
