Pricing Manager - Commercial Aerospace
Position Summary
The Pricing Manager at Parker Aerospace is responsible for leading pricing for the entire CFCD Division product and services portfolio. This role involves balancing data-driven decision-making and strong execution skills to drive pricing adoption and implementation. The role partners with multiple functions and key stakeholders to position the product portfolio and establish pricing programs aligned with product/sales strategy and revenue recognition requirements. The role oversees the implementation of pricing proposals across the entire CFCD Division.
Essential Functions
Develops comprehensive and complex pricing/bid guidelines for the division.
Leads a multi-generational pricing roadmap development process in line with strategic/operating plans – typically within one division or multi-sites within a division or multi-site scope.
Ensures list prices and utilization are on target to achieve revenue and margin goals.
Responsible for pricing of new product developments throughout all stage gates in Winovation.
Directs the development and analysis of pricing models and projections.
Aligns segmentation and variance-based analysis across the entire product portfolio for the division:
Defines floor and ceiling prices.
Establishes guidelines for delegation of pricing authority.
Manages adherence of pricing guidelines.
Conducts regular reviews of price variance charts and metrics including product and customers.
Understands value position of products against competition, competing alternatives and internal product offering.
Maintains accurate records of year-on-year annual price adjustments for all contracts.
Proactively tracks, forecasts and reports on market shifts and trends including index performance.
Maintains and analyzes contract pricing margins by conducting cost reviews.
Proposes strategies to mitigate the impact of margin compression.
May develop customer contracts for proposals, quotes, and existing business.
Provides management with monthly metrics (win/loss tracking, quote variance to guidelines, sell price trends, speed to quote, etc.).
Understands, collaborates, and creates value propositions (value pricing) to maximize margin/revenue.
Ensures accuracy of Parker’s master catalogue.
Drives GM expansion and contributes to growth goals.
Qualifications
Bachelor degree (required), preferably in Business Discipline OR Engineering, Engineering Technology.
MBA desired.
Minimum eight (8) years of pricing experience required or similar commercial experience in related industry preferred.
Demonstrated experience owning Pricing for Product lifecycle from design concept.
Strong computer skills (Microsoft Office Applications, Salesforce).
Strong verbal and written communication skills.
Strong analytical skills.
Demonstrated ability to organize and manage multiple priorities using effective problem solving /resolution skills and a team focus.
