Provide subject-matter expertise, project management, and analytical support for the development and execution of pricing strategies. Collaborate with merchants, Pro team, subsidiaries, and IT to develop, test, and prioritize pricing hypotheses and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop relationships with cross-functional partners (marketing, operations, strategy) to align on company goals and objectives.
- Conduct standard and ad-hoc analysis to identify key performance drivers and recommend pricing decisions, including:
- Marketplace and macroeconomic trends (competitive assessment).
- Customer segmentation and responsiveness.
- Line structure and engineering.
- Localization (pricing zone definition).
- Promotional effectiveness.
- Transaction and basket penetration.
- Consumer psychology.
- Develop executive-level presentations summarizing analysis, strategic rationale, and expected financial impact.
- Report findings to all levels of management; ensure accuracy, thoroughness, and viability of recommendations.
- Communicate with leadership to gain alignment and partner with IT/cross-functional teams to prioritize execution efforts.
- Directly supervise 2–3 Senior Analysts, including planning, monitoring, and reviewing work; provide performance appraisals and professional development guidance.
- Make recommendations on hiring, termination, and performance management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field (e.g., business, economics, finance) or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant work experience.
- Preferred: MBA, retail pricing experience, or merchandising/planning/analysis background.
- Proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical skills, including financial analysis and deriving insights from complex datasets.
- Excellent communication skills, with ability to articulate viewpoints to executive leadership and craft compelling presentations.
- Strong project management skills; ability to handle multiple priorities and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Retail financial acumen, including experience with retail and cost accounting methods.

Schedule

- Comfortable indoor environment; unpleasant conditions infrequent and minor.
Must be 18+ years old and legally permitted to work in the United States.
