About the role
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of St. Louis Park, MN. The role is hybrid.
Responsibilities
- Create, prepare, and distribute price lists for assigned customers, ensuring they are accurate, up to date, and delivered on time.
- Verify that pricing for all products is correct and accurately reflected on all pricing lists and related documentation.
- Calculate, prepare, and distribute customer rebates, ensuring accuracy, compliance with company policies, and alignment with business objectives.
- Enter customer promotions into the order-to-cash system and ensure that all promotional details are captured correctly.
- Maintain and update pricing models regularly so they reflect current product costs, market conditions, and internal pricing strategies.
- Work directly with customers and internal departments to address questions or concerns related to pricing, providing prompt and professional customer service.
- Partner with sales and finance to support basic analytical reporting, including volume, pricing, and other ad hoc sales analysis.
- Collect and analyze insights from customers on pricing to help inform pricing strategies and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Apply knowledge of product costing principles to understand and explain price changes and their impact on margins and profitability.
- Help communicate, implement, and maintain process controls across departments, such as ensuring required approvals and signatures are obtained when needed.
- Ensure that rebates are reviewed according to the audit schedule and that customer agreements are properly documented and maintained.
- Use Excel and other Microsoft Office tools to manage data, perform pricing and rebate calculations, and prepare reports and presentations.
Skills
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Proficiency in Excel, including VLOOKUPs and Pivot Tables.
- Strong skills in pricing analysis and financial analysis.
- Ability to work with pricing models and apply basic product costing principles.
- High attention to detail and accuracy in working with numerical and financial data.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel and related tools.
- Ability to communicate clearly and professionally with internal teams and customers.
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple pricing and rebate tasks simultaneously.
Qualifications
- Experience or coursework in accounting or finance-related roles.
- Exposure to pricing analysis, financial reporting, or sales analytics.
- Familiarity with order-to-cash systems or similar business applications.
- Ability to interpret customer feedback and translate it into actionable pricing insights.
- Comfort working cross-functionally with sales, finance, and other departments.
- Interest in building a long-term career in pricing, finance, or commercial operations.
Pay
The pay range for this position is $24.00 - $26.00/hr. Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
