About the role
Hydra-Power Systems (HPS) designs and manufactures integrated hydraulic circuit manifolds, custom power unit systems, and packaged power unit solutions, and distributes hydraulic and pneumatic components. Operations span two facilities, in Portland, Oregon and Birmingham, Alabama. Both sites are ISO 9001 certified and completed recertification in 2026. The company operates on EOS (Entrepreneurial Operating System): quarterly Rocks, weekly Level 10 meetings, scorecard measurables, and a live issues list worked through IDS. Quality measurables already appear on departmental scorecards.
Responsibilities
- Process and resolve incoming pricing tickets in a timely and accurate manner
- Ensure all pricing requests are handled in compliance with established pricing rules and policies
- Identify recurring issues or patterns emerging from tickets and escalate them to the Pricing Manager with proposed solutions
- Flag pricing anomalies, inconsistencies, or systemic issues observed through day-to-day ticket handling
- Assist the Pricing Manager in ongoing pricing projects and initiatives
- Contribute to pricing strategy discussions by providing ground-level insights drawn from operational activity
- Support margin analysis and reporting tasks as required
- Maintain accurate records of pricing requests, decisions, and outcomes
- Collaborate with sales, product, and finance teams to resolve complex pricing queries
- Participate in price revision processes and assist in updating price lists and tools

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from a four-year college or university, and two years related experience or 5-8 years’ experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Skills
Language
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations
- Write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
- Effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, customers, and the general public
Mathematical
- Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, margins, commissions, proportions, and percentages
- Demonstrates strong analytical and data interpretation skills to evaluate pricing and profitability scenarios
Computer
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft 365 (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) – intermediate to advanced Excel required
- Experience with Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 (D365) preferred
- Ability to create and maintain spreadsheets, reports, and presentations
- Competence in database tools and report writing applications
- Effective use of email and scheduling software for communication and coordination

Pay
Base salary of $29.00 – $33.00 per hour depending on experience, plus a target annual bonus.
