Preventative Maintenance, Emerging Talent Intern (Fall)

Overview

The Preventive Maintenance Department manages maintenance contracts, schedules, policies, and support services. They also run and manage the Asset Management system, which is technical and requires knowledge of SQL, computer terminology, and Hexagon EAM.

Responsibilities

• Support the needs of the maintenance planners.
• Aiding in the creation and management of Excel spreadsheets.
• Assisting with supporting MTA BT’s Enterprise Asset Management products.
• Aid in data entry, quality assurance (QA)/quality control (QC) data inputs, and testing of system developments and enhancements.
• Identify and assist with troubleshooting issues.
• Review contractor work tickets and ensure all necessary information is included.
• Manage employee qualifications.
• Spot check work order comments, reports, and reviews.

Projects

• HeXagon EAM data entry.
• Employee data categorization within HeXagon and for contracts.
• Contract management for various Maintenance contracts including HVAC, Generators, Recycling, and Uniforms.

Required Qualifications

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
• Organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
• Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively.
• A keen eye for detail and ability to work independently while being a team player.

Required Education

• Matriculated in an undergraduate program with a minimum 2.5 GPA OR matriculated in a graduate program with a minimum 2.8 GPA.
• Majors preferred: Engineering, Maintenance, Computer Science, or related fields.
