About the Role

Cadence Education is seeking a Preschool Cook to create nutritious, kid‑approved meals and snacks, keep the kitchen organized, serve meals to classrooms, and maintain a spotless, efficient kitchen environment. The role also includes extra tasks such as laundry, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing toys. Energy and enthusiasm are essential, and the position involves some lifting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Meets all state preschool cook requirements
• 1 year of experience in food planning, preparation, and service following USDA guidelines
• Preferred: Current Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification

Responsibilities

• Prepare minor meal prep with care, ensuring healthy, tasty dishes for preschoolers
• Keep food and supply storage areas organized and ready for action
• Distribute meals to classrooms with a smile, making each delivery a delight
• Maintain a clean, efficient kitchen, handling dishes and systems like a pro
• Perform extra duties such as laundry, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing toys to keep the school sparkling
• Bring energy and enthusiasm to the role, including occasional lifting

Pay

Hourly pay range: $18.32 – $21.32.
