Preschool Cook

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Meets all state preschool cook requirements
• 1 year of experience in food planning, preparation, and service, following USDA guidelines
• Preferred: Current Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification

Responsibilities

• Prepare minor meal items with care, ensuring healthy, tasty dishes for preschool children
• Keep food and supply storage areas organized and ready for action
• Distribute meals to classrooms with a smile, ensuring each child is fueled for learning and play
• Maintain a clean, efficient kitchen, handling dishes and kitchen systems professionally
• Assist with extra duties such as laundry, cleaning equipment, and sanitizing toys to keep the school sparkling
• Perform occasional lifting; bring energy and enthusiasm to the role
