Preschool Cook

Cadence Education is seeking a Preschool Cook to prepare healthy, nutritious meals and snacks for children in a vibrant early childhood education setting.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED
• At least 18 years old
• Meets all state preschool cook requirements
• 1 year of experience in food planning, preparation, and service, following USDA guidelines
• Preferred: Current Food Handler’s Card or ServSafe certification

Responsibilities

• Prepare minor meals with care, ensuring healthy, tasty dishes for children
• Maintain organized food and supply storage areas
• Distribute meals to classrooms
• Maintain a clean, efficient kitchen, including dishwashing and kitchen systems
• Perform additional duties such as laundry and cleaning to support school operations
• Bring energy and enthusiasm; role involves some lifting
