Preschool Cook
About the role
You will implement the Center’s food services, including meal preparation and servicing, receiving and storing food and supplies, kitchen sanitation, and maintain general records and inventory. You will ensure the Center is in compliance with all appropriate local, state, and federal regulations pertaining to the Food Services component, including USDA guidelines. You will promote school readiness by preparing children and families for school and life success, as it relates to this position. You will actively supervise children by sight and sound at all times and in all environments. You will maintain all health and safety regulations to create an optimum learning environment. Facilitates health practices to keep children safe in outdoor and indoor environments.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED preferred or be willing to obtain within 6 months of hire
- Minimum of 6 months of cooking experience preferred
- Bilingual English/Spanish (preferred)
- Valid Driver’s license and current Auto Insurance
- TB test or Chest X-ray
- NM ECECD Background Clearance
- First Aid/CPR Certified or must obtain within first 6 months of employment
- Applicants must obtain Food Handlers card upon hire
