About the role
The position is responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations at Child Development Centers, acting as a key middle management role for Inspire Development Centers. This role involves building positive relationships with children, parents, staff, and the communities represented by Inspire Development Centers.
Responsibilities
- Supervises the local service delivery plan to ensure quality services for all children and parents.
- Mentor and coach Core Team members and line staff, and model expected duties and activities.
- Recruit, interview, and hire staff, and coordinate staff orientation.
- Conduct weekly Core Team staff meetings and monthly general staff meetings, or as needed, Parent Center Committee (PCC) meetings.
- Manage administrative tasks such as performance evaluations, accounts payable, and records control.
- Monitor and approve local center reports, and facilitate the local transition plan.
- Coordinate with Safety Committee Members for facility inspections.
- Facilitate communication and collaboration with local schools and community partners.
- Participate in program trainings and workshops.
- Ensure compliance with federal and state regulations, including meeting annual non-federal share quotas.
Requirements
- Valid Washington State driver’s license.
- Proof of automobile insurance.
- Ability to travel to perform job duties.
- Pass initial and periodic criminal and background checks.
- Pass initial and periodic Department of Early Learning (DEL) background check.
- Pass initial and periodic employee health clearance.
- Current Food Handler card.
- Current First Aid / CPR cards.
- Subject to initial and periodic TB screen.
- Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV / AIDS) training.
- Blood Borne Pathogen training.
- Subject to random drug screen.
- Complete and sign an Educational Professional Development Plan (PDP).
- Sign a Confidentiality Agreement.
- Sign a Conflict of Interest Disclosure Statement annually.
Qualifications
- Acquire an ECE state certificate OR 45 ECE related college credits with experience in teaching infant/toddler and/or Preschool children.
- Extensive knowledge and understanding of child development theories and practices.
- Experience in supervision and management.
- Experience working in a federally funded and regulated environment.
- Experience in policy and procedure processes.
- Experience in planning and facilitating groups.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
- Understanding of the interrelationships between services and systems.
- Ability to review concise lesson plans for implementation.
- Ability to learn new tasks quickly and efficiently.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and meet deadlines.

- Proficiency with personal computers, including Microsoft Office.
