About the role

Texas Mutual is a company dedicated to enhancing safety and support in Texas. This role involves auditing financial records and evaluating operations for policyholders, ensuring accurate premium calculations and identifying potential fraud.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct Professional Employer Organization final audits and other large complex accounts.
  • Apply NCCI and Texas Basic Manual Rules, Classifications, and Rates for Workers' Compensation on TXM’s largest and most complex accounts.
  • Provide advanced premium audit expertise, technical assistance, and education to staff, management, policyholders, and agents.
  • Develop and document premium audit procedures.
  • Notify the Special Investigation Department of suspected fraudulent practices, participate in investigations, estimate premium losses, provide expert testimony, and offer deposition support.

Qualifications

  • A bachelor's degree or equivalent education, training, or experience.
  • At least four years of premium audit experience or equivalent education, training and experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of underwriting principles, the TDI/NCCI basic manual of rules and Texas labor, and multistate workers' compensation auditing rules and regulations.
  • Travel in state as needed to visit policyholders.
