About the role
The Pre‑Hospital EMS Coordinator serves as the primary liaison between all prehospital care and training agencies, as well as fire, police, and hazardous materials response teams.
Responsibilities
- Developing, providing, and implementing quality assurance programs
- Creating and delivering educational programs for prehospital personnel
- Establishing general communication strategies with partner agencies
- Participating in emergency management planning
- Representing the system in local, state, and regional emergency medical service programs
Required Qualifications
- Current certification as an Emergency Medical Technician/Paramedic (EMT/P)
- Minimum of five years of full‑time experience as an EMT/P, or certification as a prehospital RN with extensive field experience
- Ability to perform group speaking and instructional skills
Preferred Qualifications
- Teaching experience
- Certification in BLS, ACLS, PALS, AED, and PHTLS/BTLS
Schedule
Typically 8:00 am – 4:30 pm, with occasional off‑shift training required.
