Job Summary And Qualifications What will you do in this role: Respond to phone calls with a sense of urgency and demonstrate good customer service skillsGather initial information required to open new case/call(s) and prepare clinical information/packet which is to provide to the clinicians for assessment and next steps in advancing patients care. Establish and maintain a high degree of awareness and knowledge of facility medical staff, services and specialized programs. Help to locate available resources and coordinates information to support patient disposition and or admissions to appropriate unit/facilityMaintain active inventory of bed availability within the community for non-HCA bed placements and admissionsResponsible for accepting, tracking and facilitating hospital transfers and transports telephonically and via computer applications. Provide updates to customers on the status of patient case(s), i.e. assessment status and bed placement requestsAssist to schedule and prioritize discharge transports and support the Patient Logistics Center by assuring rapid response to requests for services (where applicable) What qualifications you will need: High School Graduate / GEDAssociate or Bachelor Degree in Emergency Management or Emergency Medical Services Management Current Virginia or National Registry (EMT-State) Emergency Medical Technician required; EMT-Paramedic preferred3 years field experience in direct patient care in an accredited EMS agency, Emergency Department, Critical Care setting, or Emergency Dispatch experience. Submit your application for the opportunity below: Admin Coordinator Office Wound Care Job Summary And Qualifications The Outpatient Coordinator schedules patients for new & recurrent appointments. Verifies insurance benefits. Coordinates authorization for procedures related to care. Clerical/secretarial support to the department and director of outpatient wound care & hyperbaric department. Verify insurance benefits & obtain authorization for procedures for patients Coordinate/manage a multi-physician patient centered daily schedule, check in patients as they arrive for scheduled appointment, ensure the patient’s medical records have current diagnostic results, referrals, etc. Provide secretarial support to the department director including correspondence, reports and memoranda as directed. Maintain an updated & current appointment calendar Appropriately screen new patient referrals, ensuring they are scheduled with the appropriate provider Exercise independent judgement/discretion within scope of responsibility (ability to work with general vs. close supervision) Support the department in maintaining organized & timely responses in daily activities throughout the area of responsibility. Track project deadlines. Assist with special projects as they arise. Keep confidentiality of position Assist with Joint Commission/CMS/QRS/State survey preparations Complete required continuous training & education, including department specific requirements Promotes & adheres to all elements of the hospital & corporate ethics and compliance program Promotes & adheres to all elements of the Patient Safety Program Performs duties and responsibilities of lesser included jobs Perform other duties as assigned What qualifications you will need: Education: Graduate from High School License/Cert: None required Experience: 1 year experience working in an outpatient healthcare setting.
