About the role
Plans, schedules and coordinates all aspects of pre‑hospital emergency care. Conducts and coordinates continuing education for pre‑hospital care providers. Serves as a direct liaison between the hospital, EMS providers, and community agencies. Assists EMS medical directors with organizing/maintaining records for continuing education, recertification and drug licensing.
Schedule
Full‑time, 8 AM – 5 PM.
Pay
80 hours per pay period.
Qualifications
- Education: Associate’s degree required; baccalaureate degree preferred.
- Licensure/Certification: Certified paramedic in Ohio and/or licensed registered nurse in Ohio.
- Experience: Minimum five years of clinical experience in pre‑hospital emergency medical services; previous curriculum planning/education experience required; eligible to obtain a commercial driver’s license and appropriate insurance; previous EMS Coordinator employment preferred; marketing experience required.
- Skills/Other: Current BLS and ACLS instructor status preferred; superior verbal, written, and interpersonal skills; knowledge of Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, Excel); ability to lift/assist patients up to 100 lb and to push/pull beds, wheelchairs, and equipment.
