Prefab Shop Foreman

Responsibilities

  • Receive and track all materials for multiple projects
  • Read and understand each Prefab project and plan the work steps involved
  • Create labels for assemblies, and/or packaging
  • Ensure the delivery of high-quality products on time
  • Communicate with the project team and Prefab Operations Supervisor
  • Record time sheets for the project team
  • Keep track of all shop tools and maintain all equipment in the shop
  • Maintain forklift inspections, and request repairs when needed
  • Maintain the safety and 5S around the shop
  • Keep up with iPads and any other electronic equipment
  • Maintain the same expectations required by a Prefab Assembler

  • Operate two handed tools and equipment as required
  • Read and interpret maps, instructional manuals, specifications, work site directions, blueprints and written instructions
  • Ability to read a tape measure, rule or mechanical counter

Physical Function

  • Hear and see well (either naturally or with correction)
  • Must be able to bend, stoop, squat, crawl, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull and reach overhead
  • Lift objects weighing up to 100 pounds, with frequent lifting and carrying of objects weighing up to 50 pounds
  • Constantly move on feet
  • Climb ladders (all types)
  • Complete overhead work for full day assignments
  • Responsible for securing tools and materials from storage areas to complete assigned tasks
  • Repetitive use of arms, hands, and fingers

Qualifications

The position requires a minimum of 5 years of experience in electrical fabrication and assembly. A high school diploma or equivalent is required, along with a valid driver’s license. Must have a strong understanding of electrical codes and practices, as well as experience with various types of electrical equipment and materials.
