Overview

The Practice Resource Specialist- Corporate collaborates in a team environment to maintain data integrity across multiple systems and supports corporate attorneys with special projects and daily functions.

Responsibilities

  • Tracks Firm’s transactional matters (e.g., Banking & Credit, Capital Markets, M&A)
  • Enters and updates relevant information in the databases
  • Coordinates with other specialists, attorneys, and staff to gather, maintain, update, and export information
  • Completes questionnaires for completed transactions
  • Maintains completeness and integrity of the databases by performing research, processing data changes/updates, proofreading content for accuracy, and performing cleanup tasks
  • Maintains physical files accurately, including filing prospectuses and other offering materials
  • Completes requests from attorneys for precedents from various databases and physical files
  • Provides information related to the Firm’s closed transactions for marketing materials
  • Develops and designs databases (additional projects)
  • Distributes regular reports to Associates, Partners, and other departments
  • Transports documents to the Duplicating, Mailroom/Messenger, or other Firm departments as required
  • Works with various software to prepare spreadsheets, reports, and presentations
  • Updates and maintains internal website for Corporate practice groups and departments
  • Ensures accuracy and completeness of Firm databases and software packages, as well as various third-party hosted databases
  • Communicates and trains on practice area databases awareness and effective use
  • Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree required
  • 1+ years of Corporate Paralegal experience preferred
  • High level of comfort with various computer programs (e.g. Word, Access, Excel or similar programs)
  • Experience and aptitude with manipulating programs and databases
  • Strong client service skills, with the ability to promptly respond to incoming requests with a high quality professionalism with all patrons
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills
  • Able to obtain and administer accurate information
  • The ability to solve problems relating to both technical issues and situations involving the coordination of lawyers and staff from different administrative departments
  • Able to work well under pressure and coordinate several activities at one time
  • Able to accurately record information in a neat and detailed manner
  • Able to work smoothly with co-workers
  • Able to maintain detail orientation
  • Sound judgment and ability to maintain confidentiality and discretion
  • Able to take and follow instructions, as well as, delegate tasks to others
  • Able to work overtime as needed

Pay

The estimated salary range for this position is $62,000 to $70,000 plus discretionary bonuses. The actual salary offered will be based on a wide range of factors, including relevant skills, training, experience, education, and where applicable, licensure or certification obtained. Market and Firm factors are also considered.
