About the Role

The Practice Manager is accountable for coordinating, serving, and providing clinical resources for identified practices, potentially serving multiple sites. This role manages and supervises physician services for assigned practice(s) and/or Priority Care sites, delegating and integrating practice resources (staff, supplies, space, etc.) to meet departmental and specialty goals under general supervision. The Practice Manager ensures improved practice operations, patient outcomes, adherence to policies/procedures, and safety measures in partnership with leadership. This role may have a dyad relationship with a practice physician champion for certain specialties/sites.

Responsibilities

  • Supports and implements corporate and specialty/department-specific models of care, systems, policies, and cultural norms to deliver superior patient care and improve team member recruitment and retention.
  • Manages practice operations to ensure processes and activities align with policies and procedures in a professional, consistent, organized, efficient, and standardized manner.
  • Manages the performance of direct reports through ongoing coaching, feedback, and development to motivate and engage a high-performing team.
  • Supports coordination of provider onboarding processes, including familiarity with medical staff requirements, practice start-up processes, payer credentialing, state license, DEA, CME, and EPIC training templates.
  • Collaborates with leadership and/or Physician Champion to set goals, develop initiatives, and systems that improve quality of care, patient safety, and compliance.
  • Creates open communication pathways for all team members and demonstrates resourcefulness in addressing daily inquiries.
  • Ensures departmental compliance with regulatory standards (e.g., CMS, HIPAA, ODH, OSHA, CLIA) and payer needs, including billing, coding, and TriHealth policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Healthcare Administration, or a related field (equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree).
  • 4-5 years of professional business experience.
  • Proficiency with computers and experience working within an EMR such as Epic.
  • Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills, including telephone etiquette.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to a changing environment.
