Practice Manager– Multispecialty- Brooklyn, NY
About the role
Exciting opportunity to join the growing Surgery team at NewYork-Presbyterian Medical Groups (NYPMG), part of the physician enterprise of NewYork-Presbyterian. NYPMG, in collaboration with ColumbiaDoctors and Weill Cornell Physicians, provides high-quality, patient-centered care in the New York metropolitan area. As a Practice Manager, you will mentor, inspire, and engage staff while overseeing daily operations, practice leadership, and goal-setting for the General Surgery practice.
Responsibilities
- Manage practice operations budget, registration, scheduling, visit closing, billing/collection, and clinical information processes to ensure timely and effective functioning.
- Ensure operations align with established NYPMG procedures.
- Determine work schedules, including holiday and vacation time.
- Foster teamwork and maintain high-level communication among staff.
- Collaborate with Directors to implement workflows that improve patient access and satisfaction.
- Coordinate activities, tools, and resources with other office and hospital departments/practices and service groups.
- Maintain practice standards, adhere to quality goals, and monitor performance criteria, including budget-to-actual volumes.
- Preserve a safe environment through office procedures that sustain high levels of patient and staff safety.
- Perform managerial duties, including hiring, training, evaluation, and termination of assigned staff in accordance with NYPMG policies.
- Participate in special projects and additional responsibilities as assigned.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- High School Diploma or equivalent GED.
- Knowledge of EHR and practice management billing/scheduling systems.
- Knowledge of medical information, practice compliance, and regulatory standards.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master’s in healthcare or business administration.
- 2+ years of management experience.
- Experience as a Practice Manager in a Multispecialty Practice.
Schedule
Full-time position requiring flexibility based on practice needs. Schedule includes Monday through Friday and Saturdays if needed, with varied hours from 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (hours may extend longer).
Pay
Salary Range: $89,000–$111,500/Annual.
