Practice Manager
About the role
The Practice Manager at TEKsystems Global Services (TGS) has overall responsibility for functions relating to a specific technical practice. This includes overseeing personnel, tools, and vendor relationships. The role involves working with clients and partners in Delivery, Sales, Sales Support, Marketing, and other Practices to improve products, identify new offerings, and market services effectively.
Responsibilities
- Leverage TEKsystems Global Services' strengths and core competencies to develop foundational services.
- Work with Sales and Marketing to derive an optimal portfolio of productized and/or vertical offerings.
- Oversee the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects and initiatives.
- Maintain project health and review deliverables across projects.
- Evaluate and potentially redesign practice offerings.
- Develop solutions for premise-based and geographically-distributed delivery models.
- Create messaging around Practice offerings; align them with other offerings, the competitive landscape, target client profiles, and value propositions.
- Persistently educate and research on relevant industry benchmarks based on size and scale.
- Measure performance against industry standards and clearly articulate successes and challenges.
- Manage to revenue goals set for practice, accurately forecasting revenue, profitability, margins, bill rates, and utilization.
- Support and sometimes manage specific practice-based services generating consulting revenue ranging from $10M to $25M annually.
- Occasionally travel might be required.
Essential Functions
- Practice Management: Develop foundational services, align with market trends, and manage projects.
- Industry Understanding: Evaluate and redesign practice offerings, develop messaging, and conduct persistent research.
- Financial Management: Manage revenue goals, forecast financial metrics, and set expectations.
- Business Development: Collaborate with Sales team, grow client relationships, and provide updates on relevant services.
- Communication: Participate in team and client meetings, communicate sensitive information, and handle personnel issues.
- Vendor Management: Manage vendor relationships, SLAs, and vendor selection based on strategic objectives.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor's Degree in a related field, MS preferred.
- Experience: 15+ years project management leadership experience in IT consulting service providers, program management experience, and practice-centric experience (e.g., Application Management, Data Management, QA, Application Development).
- Skills: Strong conceptual and analytical skills, proven ability to prioritize and plan, excellent oral and written communication, superior people and personnel management, ability to lead geographically-separated teams, high customer-facing and client interaction skills, detail-oriented, self-motivated, and capable of inspiring others.

Job Type & Location
This is a Permanent position based out of Seattle, WA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125,000.00 - $180,000.00/yr. Benefits include Medical, Dental, and Vision coverage, Critical Illness, Accident, and Hospital coverage, Life Insurance (voluntary life and AD&D for employee and dependents), Short and Long-Term Disability, Health Spending Account (HSA), Transportation Benefits, Employee Assistance Program, Time Off/Leave (PTO, Vacation or Sick Leave), and a 401(k) Retirement Plan.
