About the role

The Practice Manager is responsible for overseeing a specific technical practice, such as Service Management, Network, Data Center, Cloud, InfoSec, etc. They manage personnel, tools, and vendor relationships, and work with clients and partners in Delivery, Sales, Sales Support, Marketing, and other Practices to improve offerings and maximize impact.

Responsibilities

  • Leverage TEKsystems Global Services' strengths and core competencies to develop foundational services.
  • Work with Sales and Marketing to derive an optimal portfolio of productized and/or vertical offerings.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operational and tactical aspects of multiple projects and initiatives.
  • Maintain project health and review deliverables across projects.
  • Evaluate and potentially redesign practice offerings.
  • Create and design solutions for premise-based and geographically-distributed delivery models.
  • Create messaging around Practice offerings, their fit with other offerings, the competitive landscape, target client profile, value proposition, and differentiation from competitors.
  • Requirements

    • Bachelor's Degree in a related field, MS preferred.
    • 15+ years project management leadership experience in an IT consulting service provider environment.
    • Program management experience (able to manage a portfolio of projects concurrently).
    • Practice-centric experience required (e.g., Application Management, Data Management, QA or Application Development experience).
    • Consulting Business Development Experience Preferred.
    • Proposal and/or Statement of Work development experience.
    • Project Management Professional (PMP) Preferred.
    • Six Sigma or Lean (Process Management) preferred.
    • ITIL (Process Management) Preferred.
    • Experience in a Professional Services organization.
    • Experience in smaller scale consulting and assessment focused delivery.
    • High degree of confidence and efficacy in hands-on executive presentations.
    • Experience working with and creating strong relationships with India and North America based employees/teams.
    • Project Management experience (understands the importance of control).
    • Process Management experience.

    Pay and Benefits

    The pay range for this position is $125,000.00 - $180,000.00/yr. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, critical illness, accident, and hospital insurance, life insurance (voluntary), AD&D for employee and dependents, short and long-term disability, health spending account (HSA), transportation benefits, employee assistance program, time off/leave (PTO, vacation or sick leave), and a 401(k) retirement plan. The company reserves the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any other protected classification. Additional earnings may be available through incentive programs like annual bonuses, profit sharing, etc.

    This is a permanent position based out of Austin, TX. The position is fully remote.
