Practice Manager
About the role
The Practice Manager at TEKsystems Global Services (TGS) is responsible for overseeing a specific technical practice, such as Service Management, Network, Data Center, Cloud, InfoSec, etc. This includes managing personnel, tools, and vendor relationships. The role involves working closely with clients, partners, and other practices to enhance existing products, identify new offerings, and improve market positioning.
Responsibilities
- Leverage TEKsystems Global Services' strengths to develop foundational services and align them with market trends.
- Oversee the day-to-day operations and tactical aspects of multiple projects and initiatives.
- Maintain project health and review deliverables across various projects.
- Evaluate and potentially redesign practice offerings, developing solutions for both premise-based and distributed delivery models.
- Create clear messaging about practice offerings, their alignment with other services, and competitive landscape.
- Persistently educate and research on relevant industry benchmarks, setting performance metrics and communicating successes and challenges.
- Manage revenue goals, accurately forecast financials, and set expectations for revenue and profitability.
- Work with the Sales team to develop and support product offerings, grow client relationships, and provide regular updates on practice services.
- Conduct speaking engagements and presentations within the practice domain.
- Communicate effectively with team members, clients, and stakeholders, handling sensitive information tactfully and addressing personnel issues.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in a related field, Master's Degree preferred.
- 15+ years of project management leadership experience in IT consulting service providers.
- Experience in program management and practice-centric roles (e.g., Application Management, Data Management, QA, Application Development).
- Consulting business development experience, proposal and statement of work development experience.
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification preferred, not required.
- Six Sigma or Lean (Process Management) certification preferred, not required.
- Experience in professional services, smaller-scale consulting, and assessment-focused delivery.
- Strong presentation skills, particularly for C-suite executives.
- Experience working with and managing teams in India and North America.
- Project management experience, understanding the importance of control.
- Process management experience.
- Experience in sales support engineering/pre-sales support.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $125,000 - $180,000 annually. Benefits include medical, dental, and vision coverage, critical illness, accident, and hospital insurance, life insurance, AD&D, short and long-term disability, a 401(k) retirement plan, and transportation benefits. The company also offers an Employee Assistance Program, time off, and leave policies. This is a permanent position based in Atlanta, GA. The company reserves the right to pay above or below the posted wage based on factors unrelated to sex, race, or any protected classification. Additional earnings may be available through incentive programs.
