About the role

This role is an opportunity to work closely with our largest global customers, providing real-time technical support to field technicians and maintaining industry-leading equipment availability for our rental customers.

This is a full-time, exempt position based in San Antonio, TX OR Savannah, GA, with occasional travel to customers and dealers (up to 15%) across North America.

Responsibilities

  • Provide accurate technical information to customers to support generator diagnostics and repair.
  • Maintain high level of phone and email response rates to customer enquiries.
  • Travel to support technical customer issues and provide product training as required.
  • Analyze warranty claims to identify any emerging product concerns.
  • Prioritize product quality concerns for resolution with the manufacturing and engineering teams.
  • Drive conformance to JCB standards for service concern closure and field action.
  • Communicate with global service teams on common service and product concerns and work collaboratively on resolutions.
  • Support testing of failed components to ascertain detailed failure information.
  • Communicate any necessary product field action via technical bulletins, product updates, email, and phone.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • Ability to read advanced electrical schematics and control logic flows.
  • Strong technical diagnostic skills on power generation equipment and components.
  • 5 years of experience in power generation and internal combustion engine equipment, maintenance, and repair.
  • Experience working with large rental fleets preferred, but not required.
  • Must pass drug screens, background checks, and any pre-employment tests as required by applicable law.

Job Conditions

  • Both office environment and occasional manufacturing/factory environment.
  • Subject to noise and temperature changes.
