Power Generation Product Sales Representative
About the Role
As a Power Generator Product Sales Representative, you will service customers seeking emergency standby and/or prime power generation solutions within a specific area of responsibility. You will promote the use of W. W. Williams Parts and Service Departments to address customer needs and drive sales.
Responsibilities
- Identify and compile lists of prospective customers for sales leads using trade shows, newspapers, business directories, industry ads, Internet research, and other sources.
- Call on current and potential customers within your Area of Responsibility (AOR) to identify profitable business opportunities and partner with them to solve problems through W. W. Williams' parts and services.
- Work with customer representatives and W. W. Williams operational personnel to develop and demonstrate solutions that resolve customer problems and win business.
- Prepare and present quotations for requested or identified repairs, proactively follow up with customers, and negotiate to close sales.
- Complete all necessary reporting via CRM systems to document customer contacts, sales calls, and opportunities.
- Promote a positive image of W. W. Williams and its employees.
Requirements
- 4+ years of relevant sales experience and/or equivalent industry experience.
- Technical background in generators, engines, and related components.
- Strong written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
- Competent knowledge of business software systems, such as BMS, Microsoft Office, and Lotus Notes.
