Power Generation Field Service Technician

Responsibilities

  • Service and maintain hydraulic fracturing and power generation equipment at customer sites
  • Troubleshoot and resolve electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic system issues
  • Perform preventative maintenance and install/replace repair parts
  • Maintain and calibrate tools and test equipment
  • Communicate technical issues clearly to customers and team members
  • Prepare accurate and timely service reports
  • Uphold safety standards and ensure full compliance with Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) protocols and technical requirements at all times
  • Foster strong customer relationships
  • Wear and maintain proper PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) at all times, ensuring compliance with company safety standards
  • Collaborate with team members and provide technical guidance when needed
  • Stay current with mechanical advancements and OEM updates
  • Perform other related duties as assigned to assist with successful operations and business continuity

Requirements

  • A high school diploma or equivalent required; an associate degree in a technical field (automotive, electrical, etc.) desired
  • A minimum of five (5) years of hands-on experience in a field service role with natural gas engines, power generation, or similar rotating equipment
  • A customer-focused mindset with commitment to delivering high-quality service
  • A valid driver’s license
  • Legal authorization to work in the U.S. without current or future visa sponsorship
  • Knowledge of natural gas engines, power generation equipment, and rotating machinery
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting and diagnosing electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems
  • Skills in reading and interpreting technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams
  • Skilled in the use of hand tools, diagnostic instruments, and calibration equipment
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills for technical explanations and reporting
  • Strong problem-solving, organizational, and time management skills
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced, field-based environment
  • A commitment to safety and adherence to established protocols and standards
  • A customer-focused mindset with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships
  • The ability to stand, sit, walk, use hands and fingers, reach, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, talk, hear, climb, balance, and maintain clear vision
  • The ability to frequently push and pull, and regularly lift up to 75 lbs.
  • The ability to work outdoors and in various weather conditions
