We are looking for a talented Field Service Power Generation Technician to join our team in Round Rock, TX. $5,000 sign-on bonus!

About the role

In this role, you will make an impact by completing preventative maintenance and/or basic repair activities on generators or components at customer sites with minimal direction, engaging with customers professionally, applying specialized tools, and following documented procedures to diagnose and complete repairs.

Responsibilities

  • Engage with customers in a courteous and professional manner, ensuring prompt and efficient attention to their needs.
  • Apply specialized tools and follow documented procedures to diagnose and complete basic repairs, including preparing required parts and tools.
  • Escalate unresolved issues to more experienced Field Service Technicians and/or Supervisors.
  • Perform preventative maintenance activities as per documented schedules and standards on power generation products in the field.
  • Complete required documentation such as service worksheets, timesheets, and warranty claims via handwritten forms or business system input screens.
  • Complete training in line with skill and business requirements.
  • Maintain service vehicle and tools for cleanliness and proper operation.
  • Adhere to all relevant Health, Safety & Environmental policies, procedures, and legislation; report any issues or incidents to your supervisor.

  • Service Documentation: Creates and verifies customer, equipment, and technical information for accurate record-keeping.
  • Technical Escalation: Obtains and utilizes technical issue information, escalating as needed while documenting troubleshooting steps.

Requirements

  • Apprentice Certified Power Generation/Electrical Technician (preferred).
  • Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution.
  • Current relevant electrical certification.
  • Locally valid driving permit.
  • Basic level field service work experience.
  • Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with power generation products.
  • High Voltage/Low Voltage experience.
  • Customer service experience.
  • Must be able to drive a 3500 truck while pulling a trailer; CDL is preferred but not required.
  • Must have own hand tools; some specialty tools supplied.
  • Flexible hours, primarily day shift with some evening and weekend shifts.
  • Must pass a Department of Transportation (DOT) physical.
  • 3 years of driving experience required.
  • This role requires a 5-year motor vehicle report, free from major violations.
  • Federal law requires operators of commercial vehicles to be 21 years of age or older; applicant must be 21 years of age.
  • This role is subject to DOT driving regulations, including Hours of Service and Electronic Log Booking Device use.

Pay

Salary range: $48,800 – $73,200.
