About the unit
The Critical Care Step Down Unit has 24 beds and features advanced technology, including patient lifts, hands-free communication, virtual whiteboards, and telemetry monitoring. You will collaborate with PCNAs, Nurse Interns, Providers, PT, and OT.
Responsibilities
- Provide care for patients with conditions such as Congestive Heart Failure, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis
- Utilize skills including EKG interpretation, central line care, and assist with bedside procedures like endoscopies and bronchoscopies
- Apply critical thinking, delegation, and time management in a fast-paced environment
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited nursing program
- Current Ohio RN licensure
- BLS certification (or obtained within 90 days)
- ACLS certification (or within 6 months)

- BSN
