Post Operative Registered Nurse

About the role

Provide patient-centered care to a diverse patient population with conditions such as CHF, COPD, DKA, and Sepsis in a Critical Care Step Down Unit.

Responsibilities

• Utilize advanced technology including telemetry monitoring, patient lifts, and virtual communication tools.
• Perform EKG interpretation, manage central lines, and assist with bedside procedures such as endoscopies and bronchoscopies.
• Apply critical thinking, delegate tasks, and manage time efficiently to ensure quality patient care.
• Collaborate with nursing assistants, interns, providers, and therapy teams to coordinate care.

Requirements

• Graduate from an accredited nursing program.
• Current RN licensure in Ohio.
• Basic Life Support certification; ACLS certification within 6 months.
• At least 1 year of relevant RN experience for PRN roles; all certifications required upon hire.

Preferred Skills

• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN).
• Professional certification recognized by the Magnet Recognition Program.
