About the role

The Cook Children’s Post-Doctoral Fellowship in the Psychology Department provides a full-time employment position designed to give Post-Doctoral Fellows practical experience in the operations of a pediatric hospital outpatient behavioral health clinic.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive psychological and neuropsychological evaluations
• Generate treatment recommendations
• Conduct evaluation feedback sessions
• Work with a broad range of patient populations aged 0‑18 years with various medical diagnoses and neurodevelopmental and/or neurocognitive disorders

Requirements

• Ph.D. or Psy.D in Clinical Psychology, Counseling Psychology, and/or School Psychology from an APA‑accredited program
• Training in child growth and development required
• Prior experience in a pediatric setting preferred
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a desire to develop outstanding leadership skills
• Demonstrate commitment to high standards of patient care and customer relations practice
• Must obtain Texas Provisionally Licensed Psychologist during the 1st year in preparation for the 2nd year
