About the Role
As a Postdoctoral Fellow, you will engage in laboratory, translational, or clinical research under the direct guidance of a faculty member in the Barrow Neuroimaging Innovation Center at the Barrow Neurological Institute (BNI). The position focuses on a multidisciplinary research program developing, applying, and analyzing advanced MRI techniques to investigate neuropathological changes in Parkinson’s disease across clinical and preclinical models.
You will develop skills essential for success as an independent investigator, including conducting experiments, analyzing data, contributing to scientific discourse, and publishing research. Key methodologies include advanced diffusion and functional MRI for assessing brain connectivity and network integrity.
The successful candidate will join a dynamic, collaborative team within an internationally recognized clinical research environment.

Requirements
- Ph.D., post-baccalaureate M.D., D.Sc., or equivalent in a relevant field (e.g., neuroscience, biomedical engineering, physics, or a related discipline)
- Laboratory or clinical research experience at the post-baccalaureate level with an interest in a faculty member's line of study
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience writing research reports concerning own work and familiarity with a biomedical discipline
- Prior experience in MRI research and/or neurodegenerative disease models
