Job Summary

Positive Support Specialists (PSS) work in our ICRS programs, serving individuals with intensive medical, behavioral, and mental health needs. They focus on supporting individuals to reach their goals while ensuring safety and community involvement.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in performing essential life skills such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and navigating the community.
• Advocate for individuals in areas like rights, medical care, and community participation.
• Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping every shift.
• Manage crisis situations safely and effectively, including potential use of manual restraints.
• Engage in trauma-informed care daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma, but a degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Minimum experience: 1-2 years of working with people with complex needs, but 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
