Positive Support Specialist with 2500 Hiring Bonus

Job Summary

PT Positions with a .50 cent increase after 6 months of satisfactory attendance. Along with a $2,500 hiring bonus* that is paid out half at 3 months and half at 9 months.

Responsibilities

• Work in our ICRS programs, serving individuals with intensive medical, behavioral and mental health needs using a person-centered approach.
• Aid individuals in participating in meaningful events and activities.
• Assist in developing essential life skills such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and navigating the community.
• Advocate for the people supported in areas like rights, medical care, and in the community.
• Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping every shift.
• Manage crisis situations safely and effectively, including potential use of manual restraints.
• Engage in trauma-informed care daily.

Requirements

• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with a variety of individuals.
• Physical ability to stand, squat, bend, or walk for long periods of time.
• The ability to lift 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of local community resources is a plus.
• Cleared by a Bureau of Criminal Affairs (BCA) background study and have a driver's license - a Motor Vehicle Check (MVR) is also required.

Qualifications

• Minimum education is a high school diploma, but a degree in a field relevant to this role is preferred.
• Minimum experience is 1-2 years of working with people with complex needs, but 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
