Overnight Positive Support Specialist with 2500 Hiring Bonus

Job Summary

Possitive Support Specialists (PSS) work in our Intensive Community Residential Services (ICRS) programs. These programs serve individuals with intensive medical, behavioral, and mental health needs. PSSs support individuals to reach their goals while ensuring safety and community participation.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals in performing essential life skills such as meal preparation, personal hygiene, and navigating the community.
• Advocate for individuals in areas like rights, medical care, and community integration.
• Complete necessary documentation and record-keeping during each shift.
• Manage crisis situations safely and effectively, including the potential use of manual restraints.
• Engage in trauma-informed care daily.

Qualifications

• Minimum education: High school diploma, but a degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Minimum experience: 1-2 years of working with people with complex needs, but 3-5 years of relevant experience is preferred.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with a variety of individuals.
• Physical capabilities: Ability to stand, squat, bend, or walk for long periods, and lift up to 50 lbs.
• Knowledge of local community resources is a plus.
