Portfolio Officer

About the role

The Portfolio Officer assists Portfolio Managers, Relationship Managers, and Center Managers in the solicitation of new relationships, including loans and deposit accounts, and the retention of existing relationships. They analyze customer/prospect business financial needs and opportunities, negotiate with prospects/customers, and present credit and product requests internally.

Responsibilities

• Sales and operational support to the sales teams in the Centers
• Participation in Center functions to achieve earnings and growth objectives
• Contribution to meeting or exceeding Center budgetary goals and ensuring deposit, loan, and net income targets
• Supporting the implementation and adherence to bank policies and procedures
• Ensuring compliance with CBB policies and objectives for the assigned service area
• Managing personal sales efforts to meet or exceed Center goals with a specific production goal based on experience and Center location
• Promoting The Citizens Experience to all external and internal customers
• Compliance with and staying updated on all relevant policies and procedures, federal, and state laws

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree from four-year college or university, or two to four years related experience and/or training
• Ability to read, analyze, and interpret business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, and governmental regulations
• Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals
• Ability to present information and respond to questions from various groups
• Knowledge of mathematical concepts, including fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions
• Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions
• Knowledge of Outlook, Internet software, Microsoft Suite, Excel, HP Calculator, and Word Processing software
• Valid California Driver’s License
