About the role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Portfolio Manager to support a commercial and middle market team onsite.
Responsibilities
- Lead analysis, underwriting, origination, and management of a growing loan portfolio.
- Utilize risk mitigation and loan structuring skills while applying the bank’s risk grading methodology.
- Manage relationships with C&I and real estate borrowers, understand their needs, and develop lending proposals.
- Oversee post‑approval due diligence and loan documentation preparation.
- Build a high‑value client portfolio, ensuring credit quality and portfolio performance.
- Partner with junior team members, provide mentorship, and delegate tasks related to loan origination and servicing.
Qualifications
- 6‑8 years of commercial underwriting and portfolio management experience.
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience.
Skills
- Ability to analyze financial reports, legal documents, and perform complex calculations.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with ability to interact with senior management, clients, and regulators.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel.
- Strong organizational and customer service skills.
